The Reason I Write
"Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe."

My Busy Life
Alas, what a busy life is mine. I have been kept very busy at home of late; mostly just babysitting and helping out with our family website. Our family is in the process of opening up a bookstore in this western little town of Madras where we live. Nothing so civilized as a bookstore has yet dared to show it's face here. I cannot think of a nobler cause, than to bring the beauty and wonders of books into this uncivilized land... Ok, ok, so I'm feeling a little weird right now, but that's alright... right?
I have also begun to re-write the first chapter of my story. I didn't really like the way it turned out the first time. Mainly I didn't like my main character; my chapter portrayed her alot more... childish, than I wanted her. It was causing me to not like my story because I didn't like my main character, so I changed it. I also changed where she lives, she now lives in a sea port on the coast instead of a quiet little valley in the middle of nowhere. I am now excited about writing, which is nice. It's been a looooong time since I was eager to write!

I know, I'm trying to get back into writing mode too! I have re-read a couple of my stories and don't really like the way they worked out, so I'm looking for some good inspiration for a new one at the moment. :)
Hi!
My name is Elaine Dalton and I just found your neat blog! I'm a writer too and love some of the same books that you do. Please come visit my blog where I post book/movie reveiws, recipes, poems, and other random things and do please also check out the Letters of Askpen blog while you're there. God bless!
P.S. My family and I are also starting a store over here in Northern California, though it won't {sadly} be a bookstore. Oh well, it'll still be an adventure! :)
