All Good Things Must Come to an End... A Summery

Well, in one week, I begin school again! And while I cannot say that summer break went the way I had planned, It was still altogether a good summer! I personally think that they made summer break the perfect amount of time! When it first began, I was worn out, exhausted both mentally and physically, and never wanted to hear the word "school" again. Then as summer progressed, I began to relax a little, and remember the good times of the school year. And then as the end of August and the beginning of September arrived, I began to look forward to, and anticipate the coming year!

Things I planned to do, but didn't get to do this summer --- 
Focus on writing, keep my room clean o_0, do some scrapbooking for Christmas presents, and most of all... visit my visit my very dear friend Becca Anne :'-(.

Things I planned to do and got to do ---

Watch the Avengers in theater!!! It was sooooooo awesome!!!

How could it not be when you have all of my favorite super hero's (except for Batman) packed into one film!!! Ironman, Thor, Loki... It was awesome!

Watch Brave in theaters!!! Another totally awesome movie!!!!!

It is about a Scottish Princess who accidentally curses her family (I wont say how). It has some parts in is that had my whole family doubled over in laughter!

Go Camping!!! We went on a family camping trip to Wickiup Lake and had a BLAST!!!!!

Updates On a Busy Summer

Well, if I thought I was going to spend the summer writing, I was wrong. It is what I planned to do with my precious time out of school, but my parents had different plans all together... Projects!!!! ._. So instead of spending quality time with the my dear characters (and keeping them out of trouble), I spent it cleaning out every cupboard in the house, and organizing every room... sigh....

Now, two weeks before I start school, guess who comes knocking on the door of my mind... Soryn of course, and true to his name of being the most mischievous character in my story, he let me know that while I was gone he had messed everything up, and become my secondary main character (among other things...). Why does it always happen right before school starts...

As for school, I am taking alot of the arts this term! Drawing, Piano, Voice, and my last writing class! I think it is going to be a fun term! I am looking into the possibility of transferring to a Christian college next fall, (a year from now) that is near Portland Oregon. I have never been very fond of the college here in Bend, for one because they don't offer very many good courses, and secondly, because It is very difficult to find someone I can relate to as a young Christian woman, looking to grow in the Lord. After I finish Nursing School (2-3 years from now) it is my dream to volunteer for 2 years on the Mercy Ships! A christian organization that sends medical help to all of the 3rd world countries and helps them for free!

As I have already mentioned, school starts in 2 weeks, and since I have a writing class, I might not have time to post on here very often, but I will try to as often as possible. Just thought I would let you know ahead of time so nobody starts thinking that I have died or anything, (which is possible if I don't start paying attention to Falcon, as he is my second most mischievous, and most dangerous character).

A Post in which I "Remember My Favorite Things"

"When the dog bites, 

When the bee stings, 

When I'm feeling sad, 

I simply remember my favorite things, 

And then I don't feel so bad"

Yes, it is a bit random, but I am going to do a post on my favorite things. It is so easy to get caught up in our busy lives, especially as we get older and start taking on responsibilities, that we forget to take pleasure in the simple things in life that once upon a time filled our childlike minds with joy. And so, I have decided to remind myself of the many things that make me happy.

* Bright colored or sparkly stuff - When I see something that is bright colored or sparkles, I cant help looking at it, touching it, and holding it up to the light.

* Celtic knots

* The perfect cup of tea (and coffee)

* Baby animals, especially kittens, puppies and goats

* Finding a new song that just seems to touch that special place in my heart, and then playing it over and over and over and over again

* Lilacs!!!!! Simply the smell of those heavenly flowers makes me happy

* When I draw something and it actually comes out looking the way I wanted it to or even better

* Finding a beautiful picture that transports me into another world

* Finding really old books at thrift stores for really cheap prices!

* Being able to afford those books

* Quotes

* When somebody has read the same book I have and loved it as much as I did and then we spend hours talking and debating about it

* Leather, bead, rope, rock, shell or wood jewelry

* Rain! I love the rain, especially when my room is clean. Then I like to have tea and either read or write.

* Finding pictures or models that represent certain characters

* Riding a horse. I spent a summer when I was 17 working for a rancher in return for him letting me ride his horses. There is nothing that can compare to the feeling of being on the horse, of galloping her into the wind...

A New Horizon

I find myself looking forward to next Monday with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. As I stand at the edge of the unknown, I find myself wanting to stay within sight of familiar territory, and yet I also am longing for the excitement of exploring the new horizon, the thrill of discovery, the adventure of the unknown.

What is this grand adventure of which you speak, you may ask. Well, I'll tell you. Next Monday, January 9, 2012, I begin Collage. I have been homeschooled my whole life, and so not only will this be a new horizon to me, but a whole new world1

Will I be able to fit in, or will all of the big city folks sneer and snicker at this quiet country girl? Will I make the grade? Will I make a friend? I hope so. What if I get lost? What if I don't understand the Math or Sciences they teach? But what if I do? There are so many unanswered questions, but I guess that is the adventure of the unknown. You get to find, and make, the answers to these questions, step by step.

And so I look forward to the next few months and years with anticipation. What will the future hold?

1. High heels or boots? Boots, definitely boots! Although I don't mind if boot have heals either ;-)

2. What time did you get up this morning? 7:00 AM. We usually get up at 5:00, but Mondays are kind of like our Saturdays because our bookstore is closed on Monday.

3. What was the last movie you saw at the theater? We just went to see Courageous last week. Everyone needs to go see that! It was amazing!

4. What is your maiden name? My maiden name is Fitzwater, and I am still using it (I'm not married)

5. What is your favorite T.V. Show? Animal Cops Houston on Animal Planet, although the only time I ever see it is when I go visit my Aunt in Portland, because we don't have TV here

6. What do you usually have for breakfast? There is no usually about it! we have anything from smoothy, to biscuits and gravy, to oatmeal.

8. What food do you dislike? I Love cooking, so there is not much I don't like, but Mushrooms, beans, and salmon I can't stand!
