Meet Me

Hi, I said that I wanted to start another blog with medieval/authorship as it's theme. Well, here it is! This blog will be focused more on the dreamy, authory, (if that is even a word-lol), side of me. I enjoy poetry, history, and SOME fantasy, (I do NOT like Eregon, Twilight, Harry Potter of any of that more Magical/witchcraft type stuff).

I am going to sign this blog as Arries, (Sierra backwards), which is my name in the novel I am writing.

Well, I need to go to bed now.

Meet Your Author

Well hello there, my name is Syrah! I am a Jesus-lover, author, and a reader of the printed word. I am a 22 year old girl, trying to find her way in life. If you look closer, you will see my fingers are stained with ink from the aimless doodles that cover every blank page and margin, and from the furious scribbling that fill the pages of my numerous notebooks. You will notice that I often dance to music that nobody but me can hear, I love to cook with a passion, and sometimes simply laugh for the fun of it. I read avidly, write fiercely, love passionately, laugh freely, and live wildly. I feel naked without my notebook, and everywhere I look, I see possible stories that need to be written. My pen is my weapon, my camera is my companion--and beauty is my inspiration.

Samwise the Brave...

Frodo:
I can't do this Sam.

Sam:
I know. It's all wrong. By right we shouldn't even be here, but we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

Frodo:
What are we holding on to, Sam?

Sam:
That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
